Social Networking is... A Disease

At 11pm, I decided it was time for bed. I made the well-informed mistake of checking facebook and gmail before going to sleep.

Now, more than an hour later, I have finally ended all irrelevant chat conversations, finished up my regular perusal of interesting people's pictures (that sounds a lot better than stalking, right?) and am done reading whatever blog post/facebook comment that actually has little to no correlation with anything in my life.

Thank you Laptop for providing me with... well, maybe just depriving me, of sleep.

It's now 12:47 and because I am doing the same thing you were doing minutes ago I saw your post (thank you Google Reader).

I am perpetuating this social networking phenomenon by adding a seemingly pointless comment to this blog. I too suffer from the same problem this very night. :( Oh well... you will be deprived of all online social networking for the next 18 months and will have to actually talk to people in person - novel idea. Live it up!
